We were friends during basic training in Ft Campbell. I still have a picture of him and I clowning around with a cigar and our helmet liners on. I remembered that he was from Colorado and often wondered where he ended up after basic. I figured we both went to Nam and I tried locating him again thinking he must be somewhere in Colorado. We didn't know each other long but he struck me as a really cool guy. Sorry I could never track him down before he came up in the obits. I'm sure he's missed...
