My deepest sympathies to Jean and all Curran family members on the passing of Skeeter. My earliest remembrance of Skeeter was in a Navy uniform while on leave when he came to an OBD fraternity initiation and I was a high school student and a Goat (an OBD pledge). Though very slight of size, Skeeter wielded a strong paddle, but we nontheless became fast friends for many years, car pooling to LSUNO, philosophysing over countless subjects (and beers) after classes late in the afternoon in Jimmy...

Penny and Robert, We are across the street but in MS most of the time. We will contact you when things get back to what we New Orleanians think of as normal. I know God is not supposed to give what we cannot take, but I think you, Rob, and my son, your peer, Drew, have had enough!

May the Lord's blessings be on all of you at this sad time. I knew "Skeeter" in our teenage years and before that. He was one of the neighborhood kids who all hung out together on Soniat and Daneel streets.
