Not sure what to say?

Dear Maryanne,I was so saddened when I heard of Pat's passing. He was such a wonderful guy. His smile spoke volumes and I'll never forget him. My thought's and prayers are with you & your family during this very sad time. Love, Your Cousin, Nancy Scamporino

Mary Anne,
I am so very sorry for the sudden loss of your beloved husband Pat. What I will remember most about Pat was his beautiful smile and pleasant personality. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May all your wonderful memories of Pat bring you comfort. God Bless you, Anna and Connor.

Your cousin Janet

Not often do we see such an outpouring of love for a single person. Anne Whitney told me the news today by email, and it is really interesting to review Pat's life from so many perspectives. I have had a wish to hold a party at the Center Lovell hall, with Pat and Gary Searles as the main event, and I would MC. Life does pass quickly, I lost a daughter, Jessamyn, in 2000, but she is still with me, as are all friends and family who have moved on. Sounds like a call to all of us on this page to...

Pat was a great coach! He always stayed positive with a smile on his face! He was so supportive to everyone on the team, and always there to motivate us. I send my love to you; Anna, Maryanne and Conner. He was such a wonderful man with such a great passion for everything he did! I'm lucky to have known him. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten. all my love. my thoughts are with you.

I first met Pat in the mid sixties as one of my main rivals skiing in high school. I went to Deering High and we raced against Pat at Pleasant Mt. and the hill behind Fryburg Academy. I have many memories of our heated races. I would bump into Pat once in awhile at his office in downtown Portland, and we would talk about the old days. You have my deepest sympathy during these difficult times. He was a great guy.

I am sorry for your loss. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.
I will remember Pat as a energenic, smiling person. When I was young he was Josh and Kerry's cool dad. I was in awe when he fixed or built things. I would often hear him playing his guitar, the soft chords drifting in the summer air. I remember when Anna and Connor were born.My sister and I would babysit them. Now they are all grown up. How time goes fast.
Pat helped my brother after a tragic fall. I have always...

Dear MaryAnne,
My thoughts and prayers went out to you when I heard about the passing of Pat. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you and your family.
My memories of Pat from Bridgton and Pleasant Mountain will always be of him skiing. He was a great skier with great style and a huge smile plastered on his face. What a cutie.
We will all miss seeing him on the slopes.

Dear Mary Ann,
Only today did I hear about your terrible loss and although I didn't know your husband the thought of this tragedy has not left me. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family, I wish you much strength and courage in this time of deep sadness.

I knew Pat Cushman because he wrote fine stories. He wrote of cowboys, rope swings, sawdust, and arm wrestling. He wrote about a world I
understood.

And I saw him in his real world. The world he created with a woman he loved and children he cherished. I will miss him. I will miss just the possibility of being able to hear his voice or catch his smile from his big green truck. He made a difference in the world. He knew how to tell a story and how to live one as well.
