Patrick M. Dearborn, 68, of Verona, N.J., died on July 16, 2013. Cremation is private. A memorial service will be held in August at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are by Powell-Marrocco Funeral Home 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton, www.marroccos.com. Mr. Dearborn was born in Jersey City, N.J., and lived in Bayonne, N.J., and Glen Ridge, N.J., before moving to Verona 26 years ago. He was an art and drama teacher for 36 years at Montclair High School and also was the artistic director of the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Montclair High School, where he produced countless shows and directed 22 musicals and shaped countless young lives. He was a member of the Ramapo Kennel Club and was very active in dog shows Mr. Dearborn was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Harlow) Dearborn; loving father to Eleanor Ann Cavallo of Roseland, N.J.; devoted grandfather of Jonathan Louis Cavallo, and brother of John, Allen, Bernard, Eugenia Foley and the late Mickey, Donald and Cornelia.

I was so sorry to learn about Patrick's passing. He and I went to JCSC together and I have such fond memories of him. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
