Patrick Egan
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Patrick Egan, of Springfield, died at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.
Pat was born March 27, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Patrick Joseph and Margaret E. Coldewey Egan.
Pat worked for over 40 years with Goodwill Industries and was a bagger for County Market. He enjoyed traveling, Cardinals baseball, and attending the Muni.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by three siblings: Thomas Egan and Margaret Egan, both of Springfield, and Sarah (Jack) Hulsen of Chatham; one nephew, John (Molly) Hulsen; one niece, Jennifer (Eric) Surges; and two great-nieces, Ellie and Emily Surges.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. The memorial gathering will begin with a prayer service at 5 p.m.

I was so saddened to here of the passing away of pat I worked with him at county market for 3 years and if I was having a bad day I could always count on pat to cheer me up:)I also want to say what remarkable siblings he had you all where always so good to pat and for that he was blessed may God comfort and bless you all during this difficult time Greta lynch

I enjoyed working with Pat at county market. I'm blessed to have known him. I will cherish my memories of him. My prayers and thoughts are with him and his family.
