Not sure what to say?

Carolyn,
My condolensces to you and yours. Regardless of the reason it is never easy to let loved ones go. Pat had such a great personality and a knack for humor. I always looked forward to encounters with Pat. I got to associate with Pat when he was at VAMC Boise, and then after his retirement. The service was beautiful and I am glad that I was able to attend.
God Bless you!

Carolyn, my deepest sympathies to you and your family. You have enormous strength which helped Pat.

Carolyn-
You are oneof the strongest women I know. To sit an watch your best friend go through what Pat went through. I was right along side for as much as I could be. And all though I wasn't able to meet his personality, I could see a glimmer every once and a while. He's not sufferng anymore. And my thoughts and prayers go out to you.

My deepest sympathies to Pat's family and friends. I will always remember him as the Silver Fox, the funny man who was the chief of my department, Engineering, when I started working at the VA Medical Center in Fresno. He always had a joke, a smile and a way of making us laugh. I will also remember him for bringing Mike, my husband, and I together by offering Mike a job. We would never have met, our son Austin would never have been born, if it had not been for Pat Flanagan. Thank you...

Pat a and a friend stayed with us during the New Years Holidays and we both attended the Rose Bowl game between Purdue and USC. (Purdue won). We saw each other a few times during the early years, but lost touch later. We did get together one evening about 15 or 20 years ago and told old stories...
