A Legend has passed. Condolences to the Ford Family.

Patty Ford was an icon and a gentleman. I moved to nyc in early 2001 and worked at the Grill always amazed by his stage presence and humor. My first Thanksgiving in the city I was without family there and Patrick invited me and a few other `orphans´ to his home for one of the most memorable dinners I´ve ever had in my life. His kindness and humanity were legendary. New York´s best bartender will be missed!

Patty was one of a kind. The bar could be 10 deep and he always knew your name. Love this guy. RIP

No matter what I was going to do in NYC it always entailed a visit with Patty. The fake phone at the end of the bar was classic. This guy entertained the world. I´m sure you´re entertaining your loved ones and St. Peter. RIP Patty....DD

To my dearest Patrick, I can't even begin to summarize the life of someone who lived bigger than life itself.. This old world will never be the same without you..Your piercing blue eyes, infectious smile & indomitable spirit have forever changed us all..Your fight is done, you will be forever in my heart old friend Deepest condolences to the entire Ford family on your loss..
