Patrick Martin ForrestOxnard, CAGreatness, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Longtime friends and those who were touched by our loved one's life remember him in a myriad of ways - some unusual - and some, perhaps, more mundane. Not sure what to say?

I'm sixty now. And was talking to my wife about Pat Forrest this evening, remembering him as my Political Science teacher and other classes. He made such an impression on me that over 40 years later I can still hear his voice. He was also very caring and kind. I had good teachers, but so many I couldn't tell you there names now. But I'll always remember Mr. Forrest. He was a very special man who for me is the epitome of what a teacher should be.

Pat will live forever in our hearts. Its difficult to believe he is not with us.
Cousin Patsy, Roy and Rene

Pat Forrest was a sweet, kind, insightful, wise and witty human being, a great teacher. He taught an Anthropology class at Cam. High, one of my favorite classes. His humanistic outlook on life and culture, his collaborative sharing of subject matter, rather than teaching at us, left an impression on many of us. I am grateful to have had a chance to visit with him and Rose last spring. He will be missed.

My blessings to the family, and especially to Rose.

William Ihne (ACHS 79')

Mr. Forrest touched my life as a Junior at ACHS in 1963. He planted a life long love of history. I remember him fondly while most others have been been forgotten. May his next adventure be as rewarding as the former. God bless you Patrick!

I am very sad to loose Pat. What a truely wonderful man who was so amazingly kind to me. II thought he and I talked about a lot of his life but when I read his obituary there is so much about him I never knew. It makes me sad I didn't ask those things. I will miss him but I feel your family reflects his amazing character . He literally his touched the lives of all my children. In his fashion so has every member of your family. His impact was huge and thru you all his...
