Not sure what to say?

On behalf of Fr. Scott Donahue and the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Patrick G. Fowler.
May the angels lead you into paradise; may the martyrs come to welcome you and take you to the holy city, the new and eternal Jerusalem.

I had the honor of working with Pat when he was Dean at St. Laurence and also served in his Mathematics Department. He was a class act - always well prepared, always a gentleman who worked well with his students and his peers. Pat had a great sense of humor and often found it difficult to not laugh when dealing with a given student in a disciplinary matter. He was always firm and fair. What a delight he was - a true Viking. May he rest in peace.

I remember Pat as a very devoted and caring educator. Many memories of Toots & Ed, Pat, Mart and Annette both in
St. Louis and Chicago. Annette & Bud's Wedding and several St. Louis Weddings. So sorry to hear about Marian and Bud.

Heartfelt and prayerful condolences from the Chicago Police Chaplains. Pat will be remembered at the Police Mass on Sunday, 26 JUL, 11:00 a.m. at Mercy Home - 1140 W. Jackson Blvd. In the meantime, may family and friends know the healing touch of our all-loving, all-merciful God! [Police Chaplains Ministry: or 312/738-7588]

We first met Pat many years ago when he would visit his Sister and Brother in law, Annette and Bud Dattulo. We were struck by Pat's gentleness and loving nature. He was one of the rare people you have the privilege of meeting in life who was the embodiment of what it means to be a christian. I am sure Pat will have a high place in heaven. Our deepest sympathy to his family but we are sure he will be looking down on you and will be with you to help and support you in times of need.

Mr. Fowler was a kind and gentle giant. I had the pleasure of learning Algebra from him in the early seventies at St. Laurence High School. His patience with the class was outstanding and he always took the time to make sure everyone understood the lesson. If you did not he was willing to give you help. He was an inspiration to me and many other students. He helped me grow my interest in math which then lead me to a wonderful career in Accounting and Finance. Thank you Mr. Fowler!!

We feel honored and truly blessed to have known Pat Fowler and be his neighbors.

Thank you, Pat for your kindness, gentleness and friendship. Thank you for your warm inviting smile. You hold a special place in our hearts, your Catholic faith strengthened ours.

We pray for your holy soul in heaven, may you rest in peace in God's glory, Pat.

I knew Pat at Quigley and St. Mary's Seminary in Mundelein. He was the rarest of humans in that his kindness and gentle approach to life was a rare thing to behold. Jesus had him in mind when He said the meek will inherit the earth. Pat walked softly but didn't carry a big stick. He wore a velvet glove and inside was a velvet hand. What a gentleman he was and a gentle man as well. The positive example of goodness was absorbed by the thousands of young men he taught at St. Laurence H.S. What...

To Marty and the Fowler Family,

It was with great sadness that I read of the death of Pat. There are so many memories: Riding the bus and el together on our way to Quigley; our time together at Mundelein; playing baseball at Avalon Park; our shared responsibilities at St. Felicitas church.

My sincere sympathy to you Marty and all the family of this good man.
