Patrick Gallegos Obituary

1945 ~ 2018
Patrick M. Gallegos born September 28, 1945 to Joseph and Rose Gallegos, passed away in the early hours on September 7, 2018. Patrick's was one of 6 brothers Ruben, Paul (deceased), Vincent (deceased), Ricky, and Robert (deceased). He also had two lovely sisters Shirley and Paula. Patrick married and had two sons Bryan Patrick (deceased) and Shawn Michael. His family was large not only in numbers but with enough love to encompass all who came in contact with them. Patrick had the love of many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patrick graduated from Granger High School and then attend the University of Utah where he received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's in Business Administration. He was employed with Evans and Sutherland, and after retirement worked as a substitute teacher. He enjoyed playing golf and maintained a vigorous workout schedule. His true love, however, was writing children's books and stories often presenting a close resemblance to a family member.
Patrick will be missed by his family, friends and acquaintances. His pain has been removed and peace has settled in, beauty now surrounds him.

I just learned of Pat's passing. Pat and family and my family go back to about 1971. Lived next door to each other twice and worked at the same organization twice over the years. He always said it like it was. To Shawn and family my sincere condolences.

My condolences to Shawn and the rest of the family, I am sorry to miss the funeral, I was out of the country. Patrick and I were friends for almost 30 years, we had a lot of good times together and every time we got together we talked about them and laughed. He was a great guy with a big heart, I am glad we met for dinner in August before I went on my trip, I am going to miss my friend. Rest in peace

We light this candle as a symbol of our love and appreciation to a Man who has inflicted great wisdom in our lives. This Man who's ethics, humble words of advice and encouragement touched many who new him!

Uncle Pat was the kind of Man that reflected a richness of gratitude to all he new. A Man of education, inspiration, encouragement and dedication to children.

A Man who told you too smile, A Man with compliments of your character, beauty or handsomeness.

I have always looked up to this Man with high regard. Appreciated his help and guidance throughout my life! We have truly enjoyed being a part of his life and forever thankful and blessed to be a part of it.

May he now be free, rejoicing with his Son, parents and passed loved ones as we know he no longer endures the struggles we all experience in this life!

Uncle Pat! As you see the tears roll down our cheeks, please know they are happy tears as we're not morning your passing but happy to celebrate your new life! It will be a struggle not hearing your voice, kind words of wisdom and graceful smile."

You will forever be cherished in our hearts and remembered as a wise Man with humble wisdom and a great deal of gratitude.

Pat, I am going to miss your in your face honesty and always speaking your mind, which you have told me many times, usually after the fact, my mouth always gets me in trouble I will also miss the frequent calls and messages that we shared while we were trying to diagnose our latest pain or ills, solving the latest political situation or discussing the latest chapter in your new children's book. You were always there with a helping hand; your soft spot was sick children and the children's books you authored were intended to help sick children through donations made to several children's charities. It says in Hebrews Chapter 13, verse 16: And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. I know God is pleased with you!! Rest in peace My Friend!
My most sincere and heart felt condolences to the Gallegos Family, he will be missed.

Going to miss his beautiful soul and the wisdom of encouragement he spoke. A man I looked up to as a young Lad, all the way through my adulthood. The conversations he would have with me and my Son's will be forever cherished! Uncle Pat thank you for all you had done for me, my Mother and siblings throughout our youth.

You will be deeply missed, our times together will be forever embraced, your smile forever cherished and your voice of wisdom never forgotten!

A saying I wrote a while back."

My family, please don't morn my passing! Celebrate my new life as I have risen to the heavens to watch you all from above, I may not be with you in body or mind, but always in spirit. Let's reflect on the footprints we have made upon each others path and always cherish the memories we had made together!

We Love you deeply."

❤Uncle Pat❤
I will miss our dinners together at our house. I will miss how you came in the front door, said hi, to all, then turned to Rob to ask what homebrew he had on tap. I will miss you saying only one beer please and inevitably grabbing the second one with that grin I knew all to well. I will miss you walking through the front door with a huge chocolate cake apologizing that you cannot come empty-handed. I will miss your vision of Me-nos Gift that gave hope to countless children to show them their own worth. I will miss your drive and determination to offer your book online in hopes for small donations to childrens hospitals. Your dream was in its infancy, and Rob and I will ensure it will continue. Love and light to Shawn, Erin and all the family. We love you. As Uncle Pat would say to all SMILE YOUR AWESOME!
