Patrick David Gilbert

My deepest sympathies to Pat's family. I grew up with Pat, went to school with him and also hung out with him at E & Westmoreland. I can't believe it. He was such a good guy. Great smile. Looking through my scrapbook, I have a picture of Pat, Bobby McAvoy and Michael Bellsanio, all of them together. Hard to believe that all 3 are gone. Rest in peace Pat...and thanks for that ticket home from the shore Senior Week 1983. You know what I mean by that!!

I went to school with Patrick, Ascension, whenever the teachers' punished the class for talking, Patrick always stood up and said that "Scott wasn't talking and it's not unfair to punish him along with the rest of the class". I was always permited to go home while the rest of the class, including Patrick, stayed after school. I was a quiet, shy kid and Patrick and his friends never let anyone pick on me, I was then and am now grateful for his friendship.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Pat`s family, he was a great person, he will be dearly missed.

Pat was a very good man, with a BIG heart. He will be sadly missed, and never forgotten.
