Vice Admiral Patrick J. Hannifin was my commanding offire when the USS Laffeyette SSBN616B in commission. he was by far the rfinest CO that I ever had. I was blessed with having him in my Naval career three times as ssbn616B CO , as the commander of Submarine Squadron 15 I was on the SSBN 658B at the time and as the Commander ot the 13th Naval Districk I was at the Polaris Missile Facility at Bangor Washington. I will always remember him "Sailor rest your oars" FTCM(SS) Richard "alkie" ALKIRE...
