Patrick S. Hobin

Pat was my Aunt Bernita´s first son. Aunt Bernita was my mother´s sister. We were very close, (in age, too) and I am sad to lose him to leukemia. We had kept in close contact through the years.He is now "above the clouds" in a better place.

A great human being. An honor to know him.

I've enclosed two pictures of Pat. One is with my dad, the late Ben Anderson, who was then on his way to Vietnam in 1967. My dad stopped in San Francisco en route to Saigon and met up with Pat and his first wife Rosemary. The second picture is from 2003 when my parents were on their annual trip to the Bay area. With Pat and my dad is their good, mutual friend Paul Foster. The three men met and served together in the Army at the Presidio in the early 1960s and remained great friends thereafter.

Pat was Paul's roommate in law school, and remained a friend for years, following. Our families went backpacking several times, and shared dinners and even the ballet. I will cherish his friendship over those years !
