My Uncle Pat taught me to drive a tractor, how to spread manure, milk a cow, how to use a weed wacker, and how to baby sit. I tasted the best fresh perch ever when he took his boat fishing to Lake Erie but I am sure Aunt Patty did the cooking. Pat told stories of growing up on the farm when the kids had to sleep under a bear skin huddled together because of the cold and snow blowing through the cracks in the windows but I am pretty sure he was pulling my leg.
