Not sure what to say?

As a very young Deputy Sheriff in training, at the Flint police academy in 1978, Pat Kirby was also a member of the prosecutors office who volunteered his time to provide essential criminal procedures training to this new group of recruits. I always appreciated his candor his humor and his positive attitude when he was teaching us and I communicated with him often in the 30+ years after that. I also had the pleasure of working with his fine son Ryan, at Genesee County Sheriff’s department....

I spent many hours in the classroom with Pat both in high school and later at Flint U of M where we were again students together. He will be remembered as a great guy who passed way too soon.

My prayers and thoughts are with the entire Kirby family during this difficult time. Pat was in my graduating class at Central and In several of my classes, I have fond memories of Pat.

In my first entry, I neglected to leave my contact info, for family and friends.Once again, God bless the family.

I have not seen Pat since high school and knew him best in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades at Walker Elementary on Second Street. Nonetheless, I was shocked and saddened when I read of his passing on the Flint Central Facebook Alumni page. He was the smartest, nicest (and may I say, cutest) boy in all of Walker School and I have always remembered him fondly.

To you, his family, I offer my sincerest sympathy. God bless each of you as you continue your journeys. May the days...

Thank you Mr. Kirby, for being my dad's friend when he really needed it. Your kindness was a favor without measure I wish I knew how to repay.

Ryan, iam so sorry to read about your fathers death. You will be in my prayers. Love you Mom Maule

So sorry to hear of Pat's passing. I have great memories of playing with Pat on the White Horse Softball team. I'll forever remember his cheerful disposition, humor, and especially his laugh. My sympathy to the family.

We are sorry to hear of Pat's death. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
