Uncle Pat was a good, kindhearted, sweet man who always greeted you with a smile. His barbecues were guaranteed fun, and any time we visited him and Aunt Gert was a treat. He was living in Fort Kent when my Dad wrote and asked him to be his best man. Mom and Dad saved the letter Uncle Pat wrote back, accepting "the job" with enthusiasm and excitement.
