I am so sorry to learn of Pat's passing. He was a man of faith, justice with compassion and passion for the less fortunate. Pat transformed the Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice and his legacy in the department persists. He truly was a a larger than life individual and continues to live in memory in my life. May his memory continue to inspire.

Dear Charlaine & Family, you are in my prayers. I'm sorry that I am unable to be at Pat's funeral. I am very thankful for God's blessings through both of you to St. Mel's & to me. May the Peace of Christ be with you always. Fr. Greg Rom (St. Mel's: 1981-89)

Pat was a great neighbor and good friend to our family when we lived on East Avenue in Oak Park. Sending condolences to his wife, Charlaine and family. May he rest in peace.

What a man! Eloquent, gracious, steadfast in his beliefs, always looking for the good in man (and how to challenge those who were not so good)...Pat was really one of a kind and I will miss seeing him around.
