I would like to express my condolences to the family and would like to speak to Pat’s service on the Davison Board of Education. He was on the School Board from 1971-76 and served the community well. I remember when I was running for the board I met with Pat to discuss his tenure on the board and he offered advice for me. Last night at the Davison school board meeting I called for a moment of silence to honor Mr. McAvinchey. Thank you for your service to Davison Community Schools.

Patrick McAvinchey was a 45 year member of the Flint Rotary Club, leading the Club as President and then District Governor. He was a wonderful individual to have lunch with and he provided a huge amount of Club History for all of the Club's newest members. RIP Pat McAvinchey

I only met Pat a couple of times, at Perry Family reunions, 30 years apart. Therefore I never got a chance to know him well, but I do know how much my Mother, Maxine Perry Bechtum, enjoyed her first cousin Pat’s humor and goodness. She remembered him fondly and treasured their times together at the Perry farm, sharing family stories and pranks. I imagine them having a joke on us all as they make their journey into the future.

We have known Patrick's family for many years. I even remember seeing & chatting with his dad, the Judge, who was also well-known in our region. Patrick & Jane Ann were both sweet people that we got to know better through the Boris family. God rest their souls. Blessings for comfort & peace to his family & friends, loved ones who all knew this fine Christian man.

Pat was an incredible man. I will miss his calm reasoned approach. He was certainly a gift. He lived a long life, and he should be celebrated. Best wishes
