McWilliams Family Funeral Homes, Inc.(Gallatin) - Gallatin Obituary

Patrick McBroom, 17, of Gallatin passed away January 26th, following an 11-year battle with cancer, triumphantly won through courage, joy, an undying enthusiasm for life, and the occasional dose of mischief. Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, January 28th at the Gallatin R-5 High School gymnasium. Friends may call after 11am Tuesday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. No scheduled family visitation planned. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery near Gallatin. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Patrick McBroom Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.

With an ear to ear smile, Patrick leaves an everlasting impression on those around him. A laugh contagious enough to brighten the cloudiest of days, a determination to live in the moment regardless of life’s circumstances, an unforgettable sense of humor, and a commitment to never giving up. Patrick squeezed an abundance of life into 17 short years without a single regret.

Patrick was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clayton and Mildred McBroom.

Survivors include his parents, Laura Hoyle and Kerry McBroom, brothers, Morgan and Keegan, sister, Channing McBroom the home, sister, Jamie Smith of Ridgeway, maternal grandparents, Allen and May Hoyle of Bethany, niece, Nevayda Smith of Ridgeway, best friend Tristen, all of Camp Quality, and an inspired community of family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate the incredible life of Patrick McBroom.

                                    As always, Rock Chalk Patrick.
