Patrick and I grew up together in Le Mars. His step-dad, Al Mausen, and my dad were good friends. When we were kids Pat, Richie Kass and I would hunt jack rabbits down the railroad tracks going towards Greotken's rockRifles. North of town with our .22 cal rifles. Patrick and I also joined the US Navy around the same time and we were able to visit each other in San Diego during our basic training. I saw him and his wife in Le Mars a couple of years ago.
