Not sure what to say?

I know this comes very late but I had the privilege of meeting Fr. McShane and was the person who helped him with his retirement from the VA. He kept in touch and sent me a Christmas card with a note afterwards. About 10 years or so ago those letters stopped. I was thinking of him today, Googled his name and found his obituary. Although I thought he may have passed away back then, I preferred to hope he had found more important things to do with his life. He left a lasting impression...

In this world Patrick was most definitely the sweetest ,most compassionate person . I was privileged to have him as a very dear friend. This late date,as of hearing of his fathers passing,I sadly found out,Patrick had passed. My heart aches ,as the world has lost a deeply sincere man. Dear McShane Family

I happened to stumble across Patrick's Obituary and was shocked. I remember meeting him years ago when I spent alot of time at the McShane house. He was a wonderful person and I am so sorry for your families loss. I have tried to find Anne several times through the years. I just want you to know the McShanes were an important part of my past. Having worked with Pat at Camp and as a priest in the Diocese I extend my deep condolences to his family. He remains a fond memory and ready friend.

I offer my deepest sympathies for the McShane family. We were neighbors in my youth and called all the McShanes "friend". God bless you all.

Mr. and Mrs. Mcshane and family, you have my deepeset sympathies for your loss. Patrick was a very kind, humorous and caring man. He truly is in heaven. "Father in your Gracious keeping leave we now thy servant sleeping." God bless you at this time.

Dear Pat, Betty Jane and Family, I wish I could say something to ease your pain, but I can not. Please know that I understand how you are feeling and have all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Donna Sue Ferraro

My sympathy and prayers to family and friends of Fr. McShane. I hadn't seen him in many years, but I do remember him well from his time at St. Therese Parish in Garfield Heights, when I was still in High School. I recall him as being very nice and friendly and dedicated to the Church and especially the young people of the Parish. May God grant him eternal peace.
