Patrick K. Modern, 28, died instantly in a tragic car accident on June 13. The beloved son of Nancy Wheaton Modern of Portsmouth and Michael G. Modern and wife Victoria of York, Maine and brother of Daniel and Katharine will be deeply missed. He was the loving uncle of Tia and Giana Modern. Patrick?s curiosity and whimsy touched many. He is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Patrick graduated in 2005 from Elan, in Gorham, Maine. He will forever live in our hearts.
Services: A memorial service will be held at the South Church Unitarian Universalist Church of Portsmouth, 292 State Street, Portsmouth, on Wednesday, June 18th at 2:30PM. The interment will follow at 4:00PM at Harmony Grove Cemetery (South Cemetery), South Street, Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southeastern New Hampshire Services, 272 County Rd, Dover, NH, 03820.
I have thought of Patrick through the years - it seems so long ago, and yet only a few weeks. He was such a great kid - I remember him from those days (such a swirl) we were all trying to keep bodies and souls together as we raised families and dealt with the myriad challenges that brought. Patrick was always sweet.
