Not sure what to say?

Pat with my wife mid-1980s

The photos I have show him with his kids, so don't feel comfortable making those public. But this one taken likely at a family wedding is classic Pat. Memories fade, thought a picture would help refresh.

Pat was my first serious boyfriend in high school having met him at an O'gorman High School dance in 1969. By 1979, the romance portion of our relationship was dead but we remained close friends until I learned of his death in May 2005. I could tell him anything and his advice could be quite critical but always insightful.

Pat and I went to DePaul, and were roommates for a while. We were friends a long time, he was almost a member of my family, he ate so many meals at my parents house. We had planned to get together later this month. I'm at a loss of what to say, because I just found out today, and my world has turned upside down. He infuriated me, he drove me mad and he was a great and steadfast friend. We went to Ireland together, we attended each other's weddings, reveled in the birth of our children,...

I met Patrick during out new teacher orientation at Oakton Community College in January 2004. At the end of the night, when my car wouldn't start, he loaned me his. How many people would loan a stranger their car?

I was always impressed with how much Patrick loved his children. I hope they always know that they were a guiding force in his life. He spoke with great pride about them.

I'm sad that I hadn't dropped him an email in the last few months to say hello....

I first met Patrick while working at NEC Tech in 1989 and have been fast friends with him ever since. My great friend Patrick was also the best boss I ever had. Patrick's legacy includes the blooming wake of an amazingly unstoppable force for the betterment of the lives of way too many people to try to account for here, especially mine. I miss most his steadfast friendship, his amazingly clear perspective, the fantastic contributions Patrick consistently made on so my important fronts...

I am sorry for this loss. Patrick was a good person and I feel lucky to have been in his life for the last 8 months. He will forever remain special to me.

Patrick I always told you, you were a good man. I will always remember the experiences we had while working together at P&G. You will be missed and God Bless and Keep you.

I met Patrick about 3 years ago. He was a man with a great passion for his children and his fellow man. Pat, you will be greatly missed.

I met Patrick about 2-3 years ago through a group of special education parents. He fought for his childrens' rights and taught others how to do it also. He brought his wit & humor to the table of PACE.
