Not sure what to say?

Pat fought amateur, during a time when all fighters would show up to the fight cards wearing dress-clothes, including white shirt and tie. And Pat as good a fighter as he was, was usually featured in the main event! From Chatfield back then, my brother Jim and I fought on some of the same 1967-1969 Golden Gloves amateur fight cards, with Pat and Pat's brother Dan. One jight when neither of us had an opponent, I was asked to fight in a 3-round exhibition-match, with Pat. (What an honor.) ...

Went to HS with Pat. Used to go watch him spar at Silver Lake Fire Station. Did some hunting with his dad and brother. Sad to see this news.

When I was young and started boxing at 4th Street Gym Pat was always around helping coach us. He once put the head gear and gloves on and let me hit him. Thankfully he didn't hit me back

Hard to comprehend the enormous talent that Pat had. Even harder to put the story of The Biggest Event in the history of this city. Mind bending is the way I remember ...Pat O´Conner vs Duane Horseman ...early 1970s ... So much excitement and anticipation ...shout out to my dad Roy "Smokey" Adams for taking me along for the ride...he was so proud to be part of the enterouroge!

Condolence to the entire O'Conner family. I met Pat at the gym while I was involved in PAL. He would talk to the kids and even spar a little with them. He was one of Rochester's unsung sports treasures. RIP Pat
