Rita and Frank,
I am so very, very sorry to hear of this news. Frank, it was your email of today, July 1st, when I first learned of this terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to you. I can only imagine the pain you must feel for your loss. I only met Patrick a few times and knew him to be a kind individual. If there is absolutely anything Dan or I can do for you or your family, please let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. Rita, Frank - you both are among my...

The O'Brien Family,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I grew up in the old neighborhood with Sean, Kevin and Michelle, and Patrick. It is so hard to believe that this is real. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Mr.and Mrs.O'Brien,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Patrick's death. I will always remember Patrick's smiling face, and gentle personality. He was a real joy to have in my classroom at Notre Dame. You, Patrick's daughter and the rest of your family and Patrick's friends are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Pat was a great man.

Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien, Sean and Kevin, and Family,

I am so sorry. Patrick and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. No words can express how truely shocked I am to hear of this tragedy. He was great, I remember him as quiet and shy when we were in elementary school together. It seemed it was just like yesterday when I was asking you how he was, I just can't believe it. I am so sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although I did not know Patrick personally I did get to see him on a daily basis while dropping my son off at St. John's daycare. He was always kind, polite and seemed happy. Everytime I would see him he was smiling and would say "Hi". You could feel a sense of peacefullness about him when you were near him, it was a comforting feeling. In the winter months when the sidewalks were slippery he was constantly trying to keep them safe for everyone. Once he even...

I just wanted to say how very sorry I am for the loss of your son, your father and your brother! I only ever met Pat a few times, but he left such an everlasting impression on me! He spoke so fondly of his family, especially of his daughter. And one night, we talked for hours, I will never forget his kind, loving, and sensitive personality! An amazingly deep and well spoken young man. I really was touched and blessed to have met him in my lifetime...even if it was only a few times! I will...

We are so deeply saddened by your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
