I'll always be grateful for the window of time in my life that included Patrick and the effect he had on many people including me. His genuine concern for others was evidenced by his actions to step up and help many affected residents during the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.

My prayers continue for the Pait family. I am so glad I had the chance to work with Patrick. I will always cherish the times we shared laughs, meals and even meetings too! The Robeson County "Work Family" loved him so much. For as long there is a memory, he will be in our hearts!

I am so terribly sad to hear the awful news. I had the privilege of being Patrick's dean in law school, and he cheered me up with his smile and kindness every time I saw him. Absolutely unforgettable. I remember a specific conversation with him about his going back to his hometown to practice law. He told me that he wanted to help people and make a difference. And he did. I pray that God hold Patrick's family and friends in His warm embrace in this time of unimaginable loss.
