Not sure what to say?

Pat was the captain of the 1969 Stanford Football team, of which I was a member. He was tough as nails, a great leader by example on the field and a warm and personable man off of it. Sorry to hear of his passing and his long battle with Alzheimer´s. My best to his family.

Coach I think it says something about who you are that I, and lots of guys never saw this coming. You were more than a coach to us. To me, heading into that weight room with you and my fellow athletes, you knew you were more than who you were before you made us accountable for who we were and pushed us to be better. You made everyone in that program want to be better and it felt good. I know I´ll never forget you Coach. Thank you for everything.

Played against Coach Preston many times in Basketball City League. he had a tenacious, competitive spirit, and you could see he knew the mechanics of defense. Once you played against him you could see why he was an excellent coach. he was also a great person. Rest in Peace Coach Preston.

I am so sorry for your loss Patty. Although I worked with Patty many years ago, I loved running into her and Pat in retirement on their many neighborhood walks. Pat always greeted me (and whoever I was walking with) with a warm smile and genuine interest. He was never too busy to stop and chat along with Patty. What a wonderful, humble man who loved his family dearly. Praying for you Patty.

RIP coach.. (red dot society) 82' Hanford Bullpups. #10 Tom Vickers

I had the pleasure of playing for Pat for 3 years of varsity football at Hanford high 80'81'82'. I was his quarterback, running back kicker and linebacker. We had a great connection from day one. He will be fondly remembered by all of his students, staff and players. RIP coach (RED DOT SOCIETY) TOM VICKERS

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

My late husband Chuck Brummer worked with Pat at BHS.Totally admired him.plus we were neighbors on mountain gate RIP.

My first memory of Pat is when he dated my next door neighbor Patty. There never would be a time that Pat would not wave while he was crossing thru Elm Grove on campus. Very nice man. So sorry for your loss Patty. Cherish your lifetime of memories. Julie
