RICKETTS, Patrick - Of Lapeer, age 78, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the family. Visitation 1-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Patrick was born in Flint, Michigan on November 15, 1929 the son of the late Dale and Emma (Blondon) Ricketts. He was a resident of the Lapeer area most of his life. Patrick was a member of Lapeer VFW, Lapeer American Legion and 40 and 8. Patrick was a supply driver for the Flint Schools. Surviving are sons, Patrick, Jr., Phillip and wife Evelyn of Los Vegas, Denis and wife Dawn Forest of Flint, Alex of Lapeer and Kenneth of Flint; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grand-children; 2 brothers, Robert and wife Joyce of Flushing, Raymond and wife Jane of Florida. My wife and I were blessed to have known Pat and to have him as a guest in our home. He is truly in a better place and will be missed.
