From rivals to teammates at West Catholic, "Doc" (as Coach Kenyon dubbed him) became a good friend. Too many memories to list, but a few that others may not have posted: The trip to visit friends at Purdue. His "block the kick" that actually came true while at the classic 1986 game vs Indiana and running out onto the field. The memorable Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach in Steve's old Dodge. Breaking knuckles working on our 1969 Cougars. Good times at the cottage in Grand Haven and in...

You welcomed me into the family, and helped me raise your niece and nephew, and for that I´ll be forever beholding to you. We had fun at the cottage, fighting the Lake Michigan waves with the kids. You treated our dogs as if they were your own. I´m gonna miss you kid, until we meet again.

Our hearts broke for you all. I'm glad he was surrounded by his family when he took his leave. Kayden and I love you, our thoughts and love are with you all.

He seemed cool then and that was confirmed as we became friends at West Catholic. We always had plenty to talk about with music, art, life, and goofing around. Pat was very passionate about his interests, and we shared a few good ones back when I knew him well. Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens, and just looking at life from...
