Patrick H. Scanlon Sr.

I was in the army with Pat and a couple of his friends. We bunked in the same barracks. It was for a brief time but I just thought Pat was a great guy. He just had something. I was a kid and he was a lawyer but he was always so nice to me. I really never forgot him. When I listened to his obituary I was amazed but not surprised.

Deepest sympathies

While I did not know Pat personally, I knew him by reputation as one of the truly finest lawyers in our State. The best tribute to Pat is the lawyers whom he trained and mentored, who have themselves gone on to become very fine lawyers in their own right. Pat was the archetypal gentleman lawyer, and he will be sorely missed among our ranks. - Bob Anderson

It was with great sadness that I learned of Pat's passing. It was my privilege to know him for many years, as a friend and classmate at Central High School, and working with and for him at the firm of Young, Scanlon and Sessums. May the great love of God bring the Scanlon family peace and comfort at this time of loss.

My prayers are with Mr. Scanlon's family. He was a fine man who taught me many things during my tenure with Young, Scanlon & Sessums. I will always remember his infectious laugh and sense of humor even during the most serious of times!
