Patrick Raymond SCHAFFER

Age 79, of Woodbury, MN Passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pamela; children Jeffrey (Kim) and Brooke McGlone (Mike); grandchildren Ian, Lauren, Samuel, Graham, Griffin, Thomas and Vincent; brothers Hal (Mary), Larry, Jim (Vita) and Chris; sisters-in-law Sandra Lamoureux and Anne Hagen, brother-in-law Kerry Kahler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat served honorably in the U.S Army from 1965-67 with a tour in Vietnam. Helping to serve his country and veterans was important to him as he became Commander of VFW Post 1171 in St. Paul, MN. He was a longtime employee of Ashland Oil Refinery in St. Paul Park, MN where he made lasting friendships. After retirement he did what he enjoyed the most: spend time with family, travel, and go to his grandkids sporting events! He will be forever missed… Evening visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4-8pm at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Saint Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Church, 4125 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury, with visitation one hour prior to mass.
