Not sure what to say?

I got to know Pat as a student in the cytotechnology program at AGMC. He was a funny guy and helped me pull off a prank on my instructor last year as we wrapped up the final cytotechnology class there. I am sad that he has passed away and will always remember his happy smile.

MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE SMIRALDO FAMILY AT THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME,I WORKED AT AKRON GENERAL WITH PAT,HE WAS A TRUE SOLDIER, I NEVER HEARD PAT COMPLAIN I ALLWAYS ASK HIM HOW YOU DOING PAT HE WOULD ALLWAYS SAY GOOD!EVEN WHEN HE WASNT DOING SO GOOD ,HE NEVER COMPLAINED,IM GOING TO MISS PAT HE WAS TRUELY A GOOD MAN!RIP MY FRIEND JOB WELL DONE.

I feel something must be said about the courageous battle Patrick fought against a devastating disease and the people who supported him even to the point of donating a kidney. He never lost his dignity or his sense of humor. He has many friends at AGMC on all levels. He was truly democratic in his friendships and is missed by so many. Rest in peace, dear brother, go with God because you are truly one of the good guys.

I was so sorry to read about Pat's passing. I worked with him at AGMC. Pat was a unique, caring and wonderful man. May he rest in a better place.

Sincerely,

We are so very sorry to have learned of the loss of our friend and colleague. We knew Patrick when we were Residents at AGMC and have maintained a friendship over the years. We will miss him.
