Not sure what to say?

Hi Emily and Margaret, hope you are doing well with the knowledge that Pat is up there still smiling and having the craic with the good lord himself!

I was proud to be a freind and supporter of Pat his entire career since he told me in the round house bar on PIB that he planned to run. There was never a time that he didn' t have time to joke and talk to me about politics and mutual friends etc. I miss him/

I had a very successful Law Enforcement Career on both the State and Federal Level because of Uncle Pat. I started my Government Service at the State House as a Page for a Friend of Himself and he ended up taking me under his Wing and giving me my First after College Job in Law Enforcement. His wit and wisdom was amazing. He always looked out for me and even was a regular at my Family restaurant to support me.

I forgot to thank Pat for the 3 boxes of Cigars he got at the Dem convention, they were aged and smoked well! I hope there's a Golf Course where ever you are! RIP BUDDY!

He was a force for kindness and fun during an otherwise difficult year of academic study at the Kennedy School of Government 1983-84. Maggie

With Deepest sympathy to Mrs. Sweeney and Margaret and family,
My parents were friends and neighbors on St. Anthony Lane. My favorite story to retell is how when Pat's cousin Neil O'Donnell and his wife Bernie came to visit from UK and wanted to know where he could find another cousin Paul O'Donnell and Pat walked him across the cul-de-sac to my parents house! What a coincidence in all of Cleveland! A nice bridge from family in Ireland, UK, and U.S. Rest in Peace. We'll miss the iconic...

About 39 years ago I left Dublin Ireland to go study my Masters at Ohio State University, and for the first time met my second cousin Pat, who had already helped me get a graduate assistantship to study at OSU. Pat met me at the airport and brought me to his mother Bridie's house in Cleveland. My mother Maureen Mason (nee Hanratty from Carrickmacross County Monaghan) told me one of her earliest childhood memories was her auntie Bridie Ruddy, heading off for Belfast to emigrate by ferry to...

What a man.Privileged to know and work with him for over 20 years. Go rest high on that mountain my friend, your work on earth is done.

My deepest sympathy to Pat's family. Pat was a unique person, he was hard working, always on the go, loyal, trustworthy. He had a calling for politics. He accomplished so much in his lifetime and for the city of Cleveland. An unforgetable guy.
