Not sure what to say?

dear Phillis
In 1982 my future wife Gretchen and I were your and Pats guest in New Orleans for an event on top of the Fairmont hotel.
I believe it was related to your cattle operations.

I was, with Jerry Richardson, Pats banker at Interfirst in Houston.

Both of you were so kind to host me and to arrange for my then girlfriend, Gretchen to join you.

After the weekend and upon returning to Houston, Pat called me to let me know that if I "had a brain in my head" Id...

I just stumbled across this article. I never knew the background behind TOPS that allowed me to go to College and graduate. Thank you Mr. Taylor for what you did for Louisiana students!

Dear Mrs. Taylor thank you for supporting Mr. Taylor for all he did. with out him many young men and women may have never seen the steps of a college my daughter received his scholar award while she was in school and she looked for it every year it also made her a better person behavior wise thank you and Mr. Taylor again. My daughter name is Makivia J. Horton (Dawn P. Horton, New Orleans I have lived here in Bayou L'Ourse sense Oct. 2005) God Bless you

Dear Phyllis, I only learned of Patrick's death this evening when I was perusing the obits on line. What a shock! I am so sorry I wasn't there to pay my respects at his funeral. He was always so warm with me every time I saw the two of you at society events. I remember how at Freda's funeral he broke down when I greeted him. He will be greatly missed, yet because of his legacy and the way he has touched lives, his spirit lives on. Much love, Darlene.

Mr. Taylor was a savior to students like me. I knew my mother could not afford to send me to college but I wanted so badly to attend. I buckled down in high school and got the grades and requirements needed for TOPS. Without you and Mr. Taylor, I would not be here at LSU studying to become a teacher. I am forever in debt to his services and generosity. As many have said, he may be gone, but he will never be forgotten, especially by students like me who would not be where they are now had it...

Dearest Phyllis,
I was so saddened to hear about Pat. I am thinking about you and praying for you. I know our family will miss him alot. You and Pat were always so special to me.
Love,
Courtney Ritcheson

There are no words to describe the appreciation I have for Mr. Taylor's dedication to the youth of Louisiana. Through TOPS, I was able to see a dream come true as I attended Louisiana State University and graduated in May. While at LSU, I met my husband, and we are expecting our first child in April. Mr. Taylor's legacy will live on in two ways in my life. If our child is a boy, we plan to name him Noah Patrick, and will think of Mr. Taylor often when writing his name. Secondly, because of my...

Dear Mrs. Taylor - Mr. Taylor was such a wonderful person & my daughter Jennifer respected him for all of his dedication to the youth of Louisiana. She had the pleasure to be one of his guests on the television talk show in 2003. She was able to share her TOPS story with him and to all of the viewers. The most rewarding part of being on the show was to meet Mr. Taylor in person and be able to thank him for all that he had done for her. She was quite taken by him & still speaks of her...
