In 2016, I happened to stumble on these class photos of the med students. They were in Light Hall on the Vandy Campus in Nashville. Glad I did because they are not there anymore. Pat, I hear the birds now. Thinking of you.

Just landed in Naples and it reminded me about my grand tour of Italy with Pat back in 1990. Fifteen years ago, almost to the day, Patrick was my best man at our wedding up in Toscana/Chianti! The picture of Pat for this obituary was from that wedding! He was an extraordinary human being. Wicked smart, tremendous athlete, funnier than Robin Williams, and on and on with other superlatives.
