I never met this great man, but his work on the most dangerous and important case in the history of Bellevue in 1983 was as brave as it gets. I had the pleasure of working for Sheriff Thomas and his daughter Jennifer while working for the C.A.R.E Program in Sarpy County. Over my few years there, I learned what a great person and mentor Sheriff Thomas was. He was a kind soul and really took an interest in all who worked for him.
