Not sure what to say?

On this rainy afternoon in July 2025, and staring out the window window, my thoughts turned to my childhood, and a playmate across the street, Woodmere, in Bay City.So I googled his name and found this obituary for a Pat Walsh. It has to be one and the same Pat , with sister Margarite . My family moved down the street from the Walsh´s after the war so we were pals I´m guessing from age 5-10. I remember Pat had great toys and I loved building forts on his bedroom floor. Whole afternoons at...

Dr Walsh, thank you again for your wonderful mentoring during my pre-med and medical school days. You made my life better and I think of you often, especially when Im suturing a patients laceration. Weird....

I was deeply saddened to learn that Dr Walsh had passed away. To this day I think he was the epitome of what a DME should be. Firm, yet very fair and without fail always doing what was in the best interest of the house staff. The Osteopathic family has truly lost one of its best. Judy I wish you and your family the best going forward.

Dear Walsh Family,
I am saddened to hear of Dr. Walsh's passing. I had the honor of working with him and learning from him during my internship at MGH in 84-85. Pat was exceedingly kind, yet firm with us, and helped us find our way as young doctors. His role as DME helped define part of my career when I became a DME some one and two decades later. I remember him and his team in the ER fondly, always teaching, always caring about their patients, and always, always so conscientious in...

To Judy and the Walsh family, my heart goes out to you. I thank you for sharing many memories full of laughs. Dr. Walsh had such a vibrant smile that he shared freely. We're all better people having known him. May you find comfort in all of the love being sent to you.

Judy and family,my deepest condolences for your loss. Dr Walsh was such a unique man. He taught innumerable lessons on medicine and life. I recall his famous interview question-" If you had to go to a deserted island alone for a year, what 3 things would you bring and why?" He always taught us to think outside of the box and I thank him for helping me to become the person I am today. He helped mold my medical career. He also gave me much more than medical education and for that , I am truly...

Dr. Walsh was a longtime family friend and colleague of our father. He was a passionate advocate for his patients, a patient mentor, and an irreverent friend. His laugh and smile were unmatched.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Judy and the Walsh family, friends, colleagues and patients during this time of loss.

Judy and family; I'm very saddened to hear of Dr. Walsh's passing. In the mid-1970's, I shadowed Dr. Walsh in the MGH ER and because of him, realized I wanted to be an Emergency Medicine physician. In June 1980, when I graduated from medical school, Pat sent me a "Best Wishes on your Graduation Day" card and wrote the following: "Congratulations Doctor! I am very happy for you but was always quite confident you wound not only succeed but excel. I wish you the very best that a medical...

To fear and love someone all at the same time - the fear came from such a deep respect for his knowledge, skills, compassion and integrity that I didn't want to disappoint him and the love, well, if you knew him then I don't have to explain. Dr. Walsh played an integral part not just in the Doctor I am today but the person too! I will be forever grateful to him! RIP
