LAWRENCEBURG Patsy Ruth Tucker Barker, 75, died Tuesday, Dec 4, 2012 at Frankfort Reg. Medical Center. She was born Jan 19, 1937 in Fayette Co., KY to the late Eugene Cleveland and Ruth Hamm Tucker. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Price Tucker, Geneva and Jane Pruitt. Patsy retired following 20 years as a Medicaid Fraud Investigator for the KY Dept. for Medicaid Resources. She previously worked in advertising at The Anderson News. In 1962 she and her husband Norman moved their membership from Salvisa Baptist Church to the Sand Spring Baptist Church. There she taught Sunday school, GA's, and was a member of the Challengers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Gideon's International. Patsy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Norman D. Barker, two children, Bill Barker (Beth) and Barbara Barker (Jeff Beasley), both of Lawrenceburg, four grandchildren, Blake Drury (Monica) of Lawrenceburg, Brett Drury of Winchester, Michael Crabill of PA, and Katie Blackburn of Louisville, four great grandchildren, Cody and Zachary Crabill, Zane and Natalie Drury, and a brother, Bobby Tucker (Emma) of Danville. Funeral services will be 11am Friday, Dec 7th at Sand Spring Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8pm Thursday at the church. Pallbearers will be Blake and Brett Drury, Barry Guillion, Ed Johnston, Larry Etherington, Larue Ruble, Michael Hamrick, and Larry Dalzell. The Deacons of Sand Spring Baptist Church will serve as honorary bearers. Memorials suggested to Gideon's International, Anderson County Camp, P.O. Box 61, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342. The Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
