BERRY, Patsy Ruth “Pat” - Of Clio, age 82, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 19, 2018 Maple Woods Manor.



 



Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,



 



Son, Kevin Berry officiating.



 



Burial in Flint Memorial Park.



 



Visitation 12-4pm and 5-8pm Wednesday and 12 Noon Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.



 



Patsy was born in Beedeville, Arkansas on June 20, 1935, daughter of the late William and Lillie (Doyle) Thornton. On June 20, 1953 she married Thomas Berry and they moved to Michigan the next day. Thomas preceded her in death on April 8, 2007. Patsy was a member of Bristol Road Church of Christ, Thursday Morning Bible Study and Sisters in Stories. She became District Sales Manager for Avon in 1975 and retired in 1998. Circle of Excellence was the highest achievement for Avon and Pat earned this award 8 times. Pat also won several trips around the world. She enjoyed reading, planting and caring for her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.



 



Surviving are daughter, Karen and husband Kevin of Fowler, Indiana;



 



sons, Rod of Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin and wife Sheila of Flushing;



 



grandchildren, Emily and husband Cody Williams, Rachel and husband Joseph Piselli, Samuel Berry, Jennifer Pence and Mitchell Becker;



 



great-grandchildren Charlotte and Leo;



 



sister, Alice Proctor of Ashland, Mississippi;



 



several nieces and nephews;



 



and special dog, Lily.



 



She was preceded in death by brother, Newton Hammond.

I remember you as a wonderful Avon lady when my mom sold Avon. Rest in peace and condolences and prayers to the family.

Pat was such a sweet lady with a beautiful smile and servants heart. She always had something positive to say, even when she wasnt feeling well. She was so proud of her family. Pat had such a sweet sweet spirit and will be missed greatly at church.

Pat was one of the nicest ladies I know. Her smile and kind words was welcomed by all .
