Patsy Coleman was born May 18, 1950, in Gary, IN to the late Henry and Victoria Simmons. She was a 1968 graduate of Roosevelt High School and continued her education at Indiana University where she obtained her masters.  Patsy was employed for over 40 years and retired from Gary Community Schools.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Alvah Coleman. This union was blessed with two children.

Patsy accepted the Lord at an early age and was affectionately known to many. She obtained her ministerial credentials and Certified Chaplaincy and was a woman of prayer that encouraged others often.

She devoted her life to traveling and teaching the word of God and winning the lost to Christ.

On October 16th Patsy made her transition to be eternally with the Lord.  She is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Patsy leaves to cherish her memory: husband Alvah Coleman, brother Arthur Simmons, sister Lynn Turner; 2 children Byron Coleman and Tiffany Coleman; 5 grandchildren; Darshaun Coleman, Jayla Borgan, Dakari Coleman, Isaiah Shannon, Mekhi Coleman; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
