Patsy "Pat" L. Conway

Patsy "Pat" L. Conway, 84, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2024.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at the time of service. Pat will be laid to rest at Rock Island National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans.

Pat was born on October 23, 1939, in Coal City, IA, to parents Dolores (Guinn) and Kenneth Kelley. After graduating from high school, Pat began bartending. She later obtained her Associate's Degree in business. Pat continued working as a bartender for over 30 years. As a headstrong and outgoing woman, she thrived in the position.
In 1958, Pat married Roy Southern. They had four children and later divorced. In 1990, she remarried to George Conway, he preceded her in death in 2014.
Among Pat's journeys in life, was her diagnosis and battle with breast cancer. She thankfully survived her battle, but the diagnosis forever impacted her. She volunteered for American Cancer Society, was a member of support groups, and was the first recipient of the Roxanne Kramer Award. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, cooking, crossword puzzling, and taking her grandchildren on trips to Colorado.
Survivors include her children: Sheryl Southern, Randy Southern, Terri (Dan) Randolph, Craig Southern; grandchildren: Mitchell (Jennifer) Hedrick, Tanner (Hillary) Fillman; great-grandchildren: Nola Hedrick, Palmer Hedrick; siblings, Sue Gerard, Don Kelley; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George; and three siblings: Doyle, Bonnie, and Jerry.

So sorry I didn't know. Your mom was a wonderful person and best friend to my mother.BettyMoller she help so very much. I will continue our breakfast at village inn on June 26. She and I did this for my mom's birthday. Now I will do it for both of them. I love her

I am so sorry for Your loss... What an Amazing and sweet friend... I was so saddened to hear this... She was so active with the BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP... And The PINK PAJAMA PARTY...ALWAYS VOLUNTEERING FOR ANYTHING.. WHO ever needed Help!! Visited many in the Hospital and giving love and encouragement! SHE MADE A MARK ON THIS EARTH and The Quad Cities... We need Pat to watch over US... May She REST IN PEACE.. Sincerely
