Patsy Ann Cortez, 66 of Houston, TX a beloved mother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on the 10th day of June 2017. Born in Richmond, TX on the 12th day of November 1950 is preceded in death by her parents: Ernestino Torres and Francis Alonso Torres, brothers: Felipe Torres, Mike Torres, Johnny Torres, Larry Torres, Frank Torres, Carlos Torres, Pete Torres, sister: Susie Garza, sister in laws: Jean Torres, Ramona Torres, Mary Lou Torres, Stella Torres, brother in law: Hijinio Garza and her best friend of over 20 years Ms. May. Patsy leaves behind a loving memory that shall live on in life through her children: Leslie M. Vasquez and spouse (Mauricio), Gregory Bryan Vasquez, Steven A. Torres and spouse (Alma), 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brother Lupe Torres and spouse (Rosie), sister in laws: Bernice Torres, Gloria Torres, Birdie Torres, Angie Mireles and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to personally extend their gratitude to the following individuals: The Ladies of the Coffee Café at the Villas at Winkler for their love, support and friendship to Patsy, a sincere appreciation to staff at Memorial Hermann Hospice Care for their guidance and comfort they provided for Patsy and also to Mauricio Vasquez though words truly can not express the gratitude and love Patsy's held for you within your time in her life but as any mother wishes for their children your support and companionship you have given and will continue to give to her beloved daughter Leslie and the care and friendship that you will give to Greg is something that will always be appreciated and only the best of wishes for you and Leslie is what Patsy would have wanted for you both.
Services have been entrusted to South Houston Funeral Home and on the 15th day of June 2017 the family will welcome visitors into the main chapel from 4-8pm with a Rosary to commence in her honor at 6:30pm. Following on the 16th day of June 2017 the family will welcome visitors back at 10am to join them for a Funeral Mass that will take place promptly at 10:30am. At the conclusion of services Patsy's final wishes will be honored.

You will be greatly missed. We always had great times together along with my Mom. The last time we were all together is when I took y'all both to the Lamar High School Reunion. We had a blast! I will always treasure the great memories. Fun Times!! Love you Patsy ❤
