January 30, 2015 Patsy S. Duke Dawson, age 76, of Calera, formerly of Pleasant Grove, passed away January 30, 2015. Mrs. Dawson is a former member of Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church. She is an alumni of Fairfield High School the class of 1956. Patsy was a loving wife, devoted mother and a cherished grandmother. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie Stallings. She is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Dawson Sr.; sons, David (Jan) and Michael Duke; step-daughter, Ranae (Al) Meadows; grandchildren, Anthony and Jennifer and Courtney (Brandon) Boyington; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Elliana, and Emerson; sister, Jerry Fancher Smith; and her step-granddaughter, Summer Meadows. Graveside service will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Calera 1st United Methodist Church. Pastor David Allison offciating.
