Patsy Currier Key
Patsy Currier Key of Murfreesboro, passed away February 21, 2012.
She was born September 14, 1919 to the late John Nathaniel and Ruby Edwards Currier. Mrs. Key moved to Murfreesboro in 2000 after residing in Fairfield Glade for 22 years. A native of Paris, TN, Mrs. Key was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in 1941 in dietetics, and did an internship at Duke University. She was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Enos L. Key.
She is survived by her son, Joe E. (Carol) Hamlet of Morristown, TN; daughters, Carolynn Hamlet, West Chester, PA, Patty (John) Marschel of Murfreesboro, Dr. Cindy (George) Cole, Boston, MA; step daughter, Diane (John) Ehrman of Bluffton, SC; sister, Mary Belle Beard, Paris, TN; grandchildren, Elisa (Sonny) Lethcoe, Knoxville, TN, Chris Hamlet, Greenville, NC, Elizabeth (Kenny) Pellegrini of Boston, MA and Zach Cole, San Francisco, CA; and step-granddaughter, Meghan Bartley of New York, NY.
She was a member of the Fairfield Glade Community Church. At her request, her body will be donated to Vanderbilt University for the benefit of medical education.
A private Memorial service will be held at a later date at Woodfin Funeral Chapel.
