Dear Martha,
I saw in the newspaper that your mother had passed away, as you knew she would. I am thinking of you today (Dec. 24) and tears come to my eyes are I think of our dear sweet mothers no longer with us at Christmas.
I remember your mom as being so kind and friendly to the little girls in our Girl Scout troop. She was a wonderful mother, wife and grandmother, I'm sure.
The best advice I can give after losing my mother is to be grateful for all the years we did...
