Patsy was and still is a bright light in my life. She was my supervisor at the county hospital in El Paso in the early 1980s, and later we reconnected in Lubbock when I was at St. Mary Hospital and a faculty member at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing. Besides being a model of good cheer and common sense, she espoused being content each day that when "the sun set", the day was done and a person could switch from busy work mode to some relaxation and satisfaction knowing that we had done all we could each day. I so so miss her and her loving friendship! My best to her children and grandchildren whom she loved very much! Kristi Davis Menix

You are missed every moment of everyday by all who loved you in life and in your heavenly home. What I would give to see you laughing and smiling one more time!

Patsy was my supervisor at El Paso ' s R E Thomason Hospital and later a colleague and friend the 10 years I lived in Lubbock. She disarmed me with her radiance, her concern for others, her energy and humor, and mostly our continuing friendship whether in her presence or from a distance. I loved her and am missing her. Rest peacefully, Patsy.

I worked with Patsy many years ago at Health Sciences Center Hospital in Lubbock. I remember her smile, her sense of fun, and her joy in living and working. An amazing lady and a wonderful professional role model.

Everything about Patsy exuded love, kindness, acceptance, humor and intelligence. Her love and friendship changed the course of my life. She told me "you are too smart not to get a college education". I returned to college and completed two degrees with her unconditional encouragement. Some of my greatest memories are the "happy hours" at her house with her,Tami,Brenda,Edie and whoever else showed up. Her home was open to everyone. The more the merrier! The laughter never stopped when you were with Patsy. Her eyes would sparkle and her smile was contagious. She showed me the love of a Mother and the friendship of a best friend! I will love and miss her for the rest of my life.

She was my mentor at St. Mary's, and was a firm but gentle leader that encouraged me to be the best I could be. My respect for her cannot be described, but I will always remember her because she put me on the path for nursing leadership.
