My deepest condolences to Patsy's family and close friends. I met Patsy through Houston Hospice volunteering and have missed being a part of that since our move from Texas some years ago.
Her lovely voice, laugh, and wry sense of humor is a memory I can call up as if it's happening in the moment.
Warmest regards, -Anne H.

To the Family:
Patsy worked with my late husband Ayo Martins at the University of Houston Hilton Hotel back during the early 90's. Patsy was a very good friend to Ayo and for that I am thankful.
My condolences to the family. May God's peace keep you sustained.

I worked with Patsy at Houston Hospice from approximately 2004-2007.
If I remember correctly, she was on paid staff and coordinated volunteers. In my opinion, that's a very worthwhile function in a non-profit organization that prides itself on its good will.
She also went above and beyond in helping me personally. (Okay, she picked me up at the doctor's office after a colonoscopy.)
She was good folks.

It was my good fortune to get to know Patsy when I volunteered at the Houston Hospice around 1998-1999. She was a singular force for good in this world. I do not expect to know another person who exuded compassion and a joy for life as Patsy did. At times, we laughed until the tears came . . . over such goofy things, how I once told her that the verb "dump" has no place in recipe instructions (I suppose you had to be there) and how I grew to learn that I was about to get teased over...
