Lake Cumberland Funeral Home - Somerset Obituary

Patsy Sue Schuerings, age 69, of Nancy, KY., passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at her residence.


Patsy was on April 9, 1949 in Hyden, KY., to the late Virgil and Nora Roberts Collett. She was a cook at the UK Leadership Eatery. She enjoyed quilting, bee keeping, and boating on Lake Cumberland with her grandchildren.


She is survived by her husband, Anthony Schuerings of Nancy; one son, Tony Wade (and Anne) Bubnick of New Palestine, IN; two grandchildren, Shelby Anne and Jacob Chandler Bubnick, one brother, Harold Collett, and one sister, Kathy Collett.


Along with her parents, Virgil and Nora Collett, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Collett.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 after 5:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.


Her funeral service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Mullins officiating. Burial will be at Military Springs Cemetery.


The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Mom it's been a rough year without you. We miss you so much. I have remembered things i forgot over the years. Thank you so much for all the memories you gave me and my family. You were the best mom ever.

Patsy has always been a ray of right. Quick to laugh and quicker to be there if you needed her. I have known Patsy and her son, Tony since the 70s when they lived in Elk Grove, Illinois. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends. She will surely be missed. God bless you all!
