Owens and Brumley Funeral Home - Wichita Falls Obituary

Patsy Marie Taylor, 77, of Laporte Indiana, who loved to be called “Grandma Taylor” by her kids, departed her loving family on June 7, 2021.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place Saturday June 26 with family and friends in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Patsy was born in La Porte, Indiana on Feb 15, 1944, and graduated from Laporte High School in 1962 and later married her husband of 56 years Richard Lynn Taylor in May of 1965.  She was a proud homemaker and raised their children in South Haven, Indiana where she enjoyed bowling, bunco and spending time with her friends and family. She hosted many holiday events and especially loved Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations together with family.  She and her family are huge fans of the Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs.  She enjoyed traveling and making friends.  She was able to visit Panama after the birth of her first grandson and meet her new extended family.

She was preceded by her parents Cleo Maxine Fritzen and Edward Miller and her son Greg Taylor.

Patsy is survived by her husband Richard; son Douglas Taylor, daughters in law Melissa Taylor, and Shelia Miller; grandsons Shane, Sean, Tristen and Dakota Taylor; granddaughters in law Andrea Taylor, Stephanie Taylor, Shyler Taylor and 5 great-grandchildren Norah, Rowan, Waverly, Kasin and Davanee; along with her brother Eddie Miller.

Not sure what to say?

patsy was as cute a girl as laporte ever produced always fun and vivacious

Prayers of comfort and peace for your family.

Rest In Peace,Patsy. Bluffside memories of you and the “gang” together as children. You could run through the woods and play/swim in the lake as good as those “boys”. My deepest sympathy to your family.

So sorry to hear of her passing. Patsy and I were friends in high school and as Cheerleaders together. We had been in touch through Facebook for a long time. Her family meant the world to her. She was telling me about them and sending me pictures of all the kids and the babies often.
The last message I got from Patsy was on June 1, 2021 so her passing is still shocking to me! The last message I got from Patsy was an Irish Blessing. So like Patsy. She was certainly a blessing in my...

I knew Patsy Miller Taylor many years ago in La Porte High School. Always liked her then and I'm sure she was liked/loved by many, later on in her life! Sympathy to her family/friends at this time.

No se olvida a quien se ama. Siempre estará con nosotros.

I am grateful for many good memories of my sister, Pat. My family spent many holidays with Pat and her family at her home in Indiana. We kept in touch over the past years through phone conversations. I will miss laughing and sharing with her our most recent life adventures.

I emit Pat in water aerobics class. We were both fans of Big Brother and chatted on Facebook. She often sent me pictures of her grandchildren. She was a sweet lady. She will be missed. Prayers for her family
