Patsy Ruth Thomas Turner, 92, went home to be with the Lord August 24, 2023. She was born August 7, 1931, at home in Catawba Heights Community near Mount Holly, N.C. to Charles Lester Thomas and Mae Beach Thomas, who both preceded her in death. Pat accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior at the age of 12. She graduated from Draper High School in Eden N.C. in June 1949, and then attended and graduated from NC Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Pat married G. Glenn Turner in May of 1953 who preceded her in death in April 2013. Pat and Glenn were married almost 60 years and their union was blessed with four children who survive her: George G. Turner Jr. (Cindy), Mark Turner, Emily Turner Eggleston (Drake), and S. Jill Turner. Vanessa Elliott, a long time family friend, caregiver, and one of Pat's "adopted" children also survives her. Pat had seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Brandon Turner (Keri-deceased) and children Eliza Beth and Kenan, Andi Ackley (Sean) and son Will, Adam Eggleston, Matthew Eggleston, Michael Eggleston (Ashley), Aaron Turner (Amanda) and son Samuel, and Rebekah Turner. She is also survived by four siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other "adopted" children in her church family. We know that she is with our Lord and Savior so please rejoice with us in her homegoing.

Funeral service wil be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday , September 12 at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to West Haven Baptist Church, 2580 Old Glory Road, Clemmons.
